| DRUG DISCOVERY SUMMER INTERNSHIP General Summary Responsible for the design, development, and processing of prototypes using a 3D bioplotter under the direction of a project leader or manager. Key Responsibilities: *Develop, evaluate and/or improve scaffold designs for new and ongoing projects under the direct supervision of an assigned scientist *Validate pending design decisions by building and analyzing proof of concept prototypes Position Specific: *Design and implement test setups, relate results back to physical printer behavior *Change parameters of the printer to get the best quality of objects out of printer *Prototype and evaluate sensing strategies and control algorithms *Perform other duties as assigned Requirements/Minimum Qualifications: * Currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Experience with Solidworks and Autocad * Knowledge of device verification testing preferred | ||
