For more than 150 years, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) has been a leader in educating the world's most influential artists, designers and scholars. BASIC FUNCTION: The Internship Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director of Employer Relations to create professional opportunities for SAIC students, including internships, jobs, and other career-related experiences.
They administer the CAPX and Professional Practice internship programs and all related activities including advising students on preparing for successful internship experiences, assisting students with registration for credit, and monitoring internship sites. With the Assistant Director of Employer Relations, they create policies and procedures to ensure the academic quality of internships.
The Internship Coordinator advises students and gives presentations on career-related topics.
