Hydro Engineering started in 1971 as an agriculture irrigation company that drilled wells and installed center pivots and pipelines. That same year, Hydro Engineering developed the Hydro Soft Hose Traveling Gun that became popular for irrigation and liquid manure application throughout the United States. In 1978, Hydro Engineering developed a complete drag hose manure injection and pumping line of equipment based off the knowledge that was gained by the development of the traveling gun. During the 1980’s, Hydro Engineering became a general contractor for municipal wastewater treatment systems. After working with municipal wastewater treatment systems, Hydro Engineering saw a need to develop products and equipment to help with water transfer for municipalities and emergency responders.

Today Hydro Engineering is a manufacturer of manure injection, water transfer, municipal equipment and accessories, which are distributed throughout the United States and exported to a number of foreign countries. As a Zimmatic Dealer, our irrigation division offers a complete package to our customers through installation, service, and sales pivot irrigation systems, high capacity wells, and pumping equipment. All while continuing to work as a general contractor specializing in the installation of complete wastewater treatment systems for municipal and commercial applications throughout the entire state of Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
