Principal Functional Safety Expert
Your tasks

TUV SUD has been working with top functional safety equipment developer globally. This positionwill expand our functional safety business in USA by operational execution functional safety projects

(technical training, technical support, assessment). The ideal candidate has worked on functionalsafety-critical projects before and is well-verse in the safety management life cycle for complex soft-

ware and hardware systems.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Testing and assessment of complex safety-related electronic systems for our national andinternational customers

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, global teams and customers on FunctionalSafety

Leading customer projects nationally and internationally

Consult and advise clients on the system implementation while following applicable technical standards as well as standards on quality, safety etc. This includes technical advice

within the development of safety cases, creation of safety management plans and work-flows, provide guidance of processes and designs to our customers.

Support with technical sales activities in the field of Functional Safety

Continuous professional development and knowledge sharing with the team

Conducting internal and external training in the area of functional safety

Your qualifications

This job may be for you if:

Bachelor's in Electrical (BSEE) or Informatics / Computational Science;

Several years of professional experience in electronics development, preferably in the field

of functional safety

Experience in the field of functional safety, e.g. ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO13849

Practical project management and work experience.

Confident dealing with external and internal contact persons

Good comprehension and analytical thinking

Independent, structured and result-oriented way of working.

Team and communication skills

Willingness to perform, motivation and creativity.

Willingness to travel
