Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient's care needs.Key Position Details:
0.75 FTE; 12-hour straight night shifts; Every third weekend rotation.
The Special Care Unit (SCU) at St. Francis is an eight bed unit that cares for unstable patients that require elevated monitoring and complex nursing care. The SCU is a place where you can grow your knowledge and skills caring for complex medical and surgical patients. The SCU at St. Francis care for patients who require supportive care such as mechanical ventilation, vasoactive drips, increased cardiac monitoring, invasive lines, complex wounds, and psychiatric emergencies. The SCU is an excellent place to learn and grow your critical thinking skills and expand your nursing career.
