Job Summary:

Ensure great customer service; Act as Pit Manager in the Pit Manager's absence. Assist Pit Manager in managing Card Club activities. Responsible for supporting the Companies mission, vision, and values by providing fun and games like no place else, and adheres to the Canterbury Way by focusing on our core values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the appearance of the card club.
  • Manage pit activities in the absence of the Pit Manager
  • Manager, supervise and provide guidance for Pit Floor staff and dealers
  • Responsible for all shift paperwork, card control, dealer rotation, and opening/closing of Pit games in the Pit Manager's absence
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with all Canterbury Park and MRC regulations, policies and procedures
  • Acts as Pit Floor person when Pit Manager is on duty
  • Any other related tasks as directed by the Pit Manager or Director of Casino Games

Supervision:

  • Pit Dealers and Pit Floor Staff

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 3 years Casino or Card Room experience.
  • Minimum 1 year Casino or Card Room floor experience.
  • Extensive game knowledge and prior dealing experience.
  • Must be adaptable, versatile and tactful in dealings with the public
  • Reliable, pleasant personality, able to deal with difficult customers and situations.
  • The ability to learn quickly and work well under pressure is essential
  • Must have basic computer knowledge
  • Must be able to obtain an MRC license and pass a background check.
