PURPOSE:
An Installer ensures work-site set up, performs basic to routine window or door installations and removal, performs work-site tear down and clean up of the entire job site in accordance with Renewal by Andersen’s guidelines. Scheduled availability to work when homeowners are available and in their homes (between the hours of 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.)
We hire installers at three different levels based on skills and experience and this will determine your hourly rate. Our goal is to see our installers grow a career here and there is a lot of room for advancement and we pride ourselves in our investment in our installers! Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Base pay is $20/hr but based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, certifications, etc. plus quarterly bonuses as well as a year end profit sharing bonus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid driver’s license and High School diploma or equivalent
A proven track record of superior workmanship, motivated, and willing to learn
1+ year of work experience in the home improvement or other closely related field
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and working knowledge of hand and power tools
Able to perform the essential functions of the job, communicate with peers and homeowners, and organize tasks and jobs requirements
Proficient in the use of tools and equipment and empathy and customer service skills
Ability to take direction from manager, field supervisor or foreman
Ability to apply material to exteriors to provide protective, decorative or insulation surfaces.
A strong sense of accountability—and an equally strong sense of teamwork
Diagnostic skills: assessment, problem solving, and decision making
Self-motivation, time- and work-process management skills, and the ability to work independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Cuts and trims material to size and shape, fills joints and cracks, load and unload job trailer, helps maintain clean and safe job site
· Clean-up of job site when installation is complete, follow OSHA standards and practices, use all safety equipment as intended
· Report any unsafe work situations to foreman or lead, follow EPA regulated lead safe work practices
· Attend department and safety meetings, adhere to SSW and department updates, assist customers and co-workers
· Climbing, Repetitive Motions, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Fingering, Grasping, Feeling, Walk and stand on uneven surfaces without pain, Repetitious cutting without pain, Ascend and descend ladders without pain, No fear of heights
PAY & BENEFITS:
