Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing engineering work related to researching, designing, and developing products, parts, components, or portions of major products.

Job Functions (Essential)

1. Be the electrical architect for design and development for new or existing products
2. Design and development of Generator set control systems, wiring harnesses, electrical diagrams, electronic engine systems, automatic voltage regulators, transformers, heaters, motor controls, and protective devices, paralleling switchgear, low and medium voltage switchgear, and any other electrical aspects of products.
3. Analyzes production methods to ensure time and cost objectives are met.
4. Co-ordinate with production team for during assembly of Electrical Schematics and wiring harness.
5. Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement of existing products
6. Reviews and analyzes vendor or customer proposals submitted to determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures
7. Complete work according to standard engineering principles and practices
8. Responsible for following the ERP procedures per the company's quality system
9. Safety and environmental procedures and work instructions can be referenced in the Matrix
10. Performs other related duties as assigned
11. Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct
12. Performs special projects as required
13. Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Required:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of electrical engineering experience or 9 years of electrical engineering experience.
2. Excellent knowledge about Diesel and Gas engines
3. Excellent ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
4. Excellent ability to read and interpret general procedures
5. Excellent ability to read and interpret line diagrams, ladder diagrams, and point to point diagrams
6. Entrepreneurial attitude
7. Ability to travel
8. Excellent problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level
9. Excellent ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
10. Excellent computer Skills: AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD electrical, Programming, MS Office (Programmable Logic Devices)
11. Social Skills: Dependability, Versatility, Flexibility, and Team Work

Preferred:

1. Leadership background

4. Experience in electrical design of battery and fuel cell containers

Daily work is performed in an office environment. This position has a Monday through Friday work schedule, as business requires.
While performing duties of this position, the employee is occasionally required to stand, kneel, crouch, reach, and / or grasp. Next, an employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to manipulate small items such as a keyboard or mouse. Finally, an employee is also frequently required to walk within the work environment.
Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, and the employee must have the ability to adjust focus.
