1. Plan, initiate, and manage logistics projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule and scope
2. Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transporting products or supplies
3. Direct inbound and outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities and logistics quality management
4. Coordinate the transportation and storage of imported and exported goods
5. Monitor or trace the location of goods, anticipate schedule or priority delays, and initiate plans for alternative actions
6. Interface with internal and external customers on schedules, meetings, and problems
7. Audit carrier partners billing detail files for mistakes and notify appropriate personnel of findings
8. Maintain vendor database with updated contracts and rates
9. Keep management informed of progress, developments and pending problems
10. Support continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of uniform and consistent processes
11. Support Import/Export and CTPAT area as needed.
12. Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct
13. Performs special projects as required

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, or 4 years of experience in transportation/logistics in a manufacturing environment.
2. Good knowledge of business and management principles involved in supply chain management, strategic planning, resource allocation, customer service, production methods, information technology and coordination of people and resources
3. Good ability to handle third party vendor, including tender creation, negotiation and coordination
4. Good analytical ability and creative problem-solving skills, when problems are complex
5. Good organizational, planning and follow up skills
6. Good oral, written and presentation communication skills
7. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
8. Self-starter with the ability to work extended periods without supervision
9. Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite.
