Job Purpose

As an intern, you be exposed to the design, development, maintenance, and support of critical and highly visible platforms for ICE. You will work under the guidance of a more senior engineer on an existing product team to develop real-world skills. The ideal candidate must be results-oriented, self-motivated, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary position that will last approximately 10 -12 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, architecture, and planning of technology solutions to meet the business need
  • Participate in the development of new methods, procedures, processes, or systems
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders
  • Create comprehensive unit tests for new development items
  • Adhere to coding style guidelines and development best practices

Knowledge and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good attitude and eager to learn
  • Experience in an object-oriented programming language such as Java or C++
  • Good understanding of data structures
  • Basic understanding of multi-threaded processing / concurrency
  • Basic understanding of security concerns for web-based applications
  • Basic understanding of SDLC
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience with Git preferred
