Job Description

The qualified candidate for this position is responsible for providing sports medicine outreach to Sibley East High School as the head athletic trainer, as well as support for other local high schools and our sports medicine department as needed. Use your athletic training medical knowledge to make an impact on our community's health and well- being.

We are a growing network of health care providers in need of an athletic trainer with exercise physiology, orthopedic rehab and sports medicine talent. Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of Athletic Training clients accessing the Rehab Specialties department.

Job Functions:

  1. Performs evaluations, documents care, and discharges client cases according to RMC and professional standards.
  2. Provides current and quality treatment, utilize Ridgeview and professional resources to promote continued quality care.
  3. Communicates with patient, health care providers, insurer and others to ensure that patient needs are addressed.
  4. Exhibits working knowledge of hours of operation, customer base, department operations, visit procedures (i.e. school visits), and chart audit procedures.
  5. Understands and uses reimbursement and regulatory guidelines for care and environment.
  6. Understands and uses patient and clinic operations following Rehab Specialties policy and guidelines.
  7. Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently and organize tasks
  • Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
  • Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above

  • Ability to promote Rehab Specialties services
  • Ability to change work locations with or without prior notification in order to meet customer needs
  • Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team
  • Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above

License/Certifications

  • Registered Athletic Trainer, valid in Minnesota
  • CPR Certification
