Region Office and State Organization Outreach Specialist (West)

Location: Fully Remote, USA

Job Overview:

The Region Office and State Organization Outreach Specialist will be the primary liaison for ensuring productive organizational relationships with the key regional education stakeholders (Service centers, cooperatives, county education organizations, etc.) that influence state policymaking and district program purchasing decisions.

This role will also be responsible for the design and execution of internal strategic plans intended to raise Lexia's visibility within target states by partnering with sales and marketing professionals to ensure productive relationships with influential state education organizations (outside of state government).

Anticipation and identification of educational challenges and opportunities are critical. We are looking for someone with a positive can-do attitude, who is highly motivated to learn, and who is a clever thinker who can provide practical approaches to support a quickly changing organization. This home office position can be located anywhere in the US.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales and internal divisions to develop strategic plans to increase sales in priority states and the regions within them.

  • Cultivate relationships with key regional and state organization officials to secure meetings and presentations.

  • Support and act as the primary conduit between sales and regional and state organizations (outside of state government.)

  • Track the implementation of state initiatives and policies to understand regional impacts.

  • Play an integral role in conference strategy.

  • Assist in the successful pursuit of region-level contracts.

  • Work with sales to identify regional office policies and procurement decisions that negatively impact sales, and develop and execute a strategy to improve them.

  • Share best practices on literacy and language policy.

  • Represent Lexia Learning at conference and partner events.

  • Assist in the development of messaging and positioning.

  • Regular briefs with sales and internal teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree In Education preferred or a related degree or equivalent work experience;

  • Knowledge and expertise in Education policy, with literacy and language policy being especially useful.

  • Knowledge of regional education office operations;

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in a senior leadership role with a regional or state education organization.

  • Experience and proven ability to work and thrive in a cross-functional role, with success in aligning goals and objectives, and balancing contesting interests and priorities.

  • Proven track record of interpreting relevant insights from various resources to spot trends.

  • Solid organization, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Confidence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.

  • Good customer focus, attitude, and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Must be open to travel as needed for this role.
