Under limited supervision, performs a variety of custodial duties.

Essential Job Duties:

Clean office restrooms. Responsible for cleaning all plant floors. Clean entry ways and smoking areas. Snow removal - sidewalks, ramps and doorways. Miscellaneous painting. Weed removal / spraying. Police grounds for miscellaneous trash. Trim bushes. Performs duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation. Participates in Viracon's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements.

Additional Job Duties:

Notifies appropriate party in the event of a need for major repairs on equipment or facilities. Maintains a positive working relationship with all employees and supervisors. Advises supervisor when in need of additional supplies. Performs all duties in a safe manner, and advises supervisor of potentially unsafe conditions observed in the buildings. Performs reasonably similar duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications:

Good physical condition. Able to run all equipment listed above. High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred but not required. Ability to read and understand work instructions (English) Familiar with operating power tools. Ability to take supervision. Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member. Must be able to safely perform essential job responsibilities. Regular full time attendance. Promotes Viracon in a positive manner and obeys all policies.
