This individual will perform test engineering activities within the Product Assurance organization, and ensure that products perform in accordance with Interface (SAS, FC, and SATA), Electrical, Environmental, and Mechanical requirements.
Key responsibilities include test planning & execution, review & reporting of test results including parametric analyses, coordinate failure analyses and issue resolution as part of the Closed-Loop Corrective Action Process, create new tests in support of new product features, ensure performance in accordance with all product specifications and customer requirements, provide test engineering support for second source qualification tests and customer qualification tests.
Conceives and develops solutions to engineering programs through the application of professionally accepted engineering techniques, practices and procedures.
QualificationsBS in Engineering is required, Electrical or Mechanical is preferred. Continuing Education course work in disc drives is desirable.
The successful candidate should have the following skills: Demonstrate project management, engineering, and teamwork skills. Must be able to effectively multi-task under tight schedule constraints. Self-starter with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Experience with design, test, or manufacturing engineering with disc drives is desirable. Knowledge of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and power measurement test equipment is desirable.
Strong software skills including C , working knowledge of oscilloscopes, ability to setup logic analyzers and analyze traces, experience with chambers, power supplies, and power measurement test equipment is desirable. Strong statistical and database foundation necessary to perform parametric analysis and experience with Business Objects is preferred.
